Axon to demonstrate new compliance recording system at NAB

AXON will demonstrate its new compliance recording system, TRACS2, at NAB2009. The product is based on custom-developed 1RU frames, which include redundant power supplies and three RAID-5 front-removable hard disks.

The GUI has been completely redesigned and is now a “thick” client application, enabling simultaneous access for multiple users. Live and real-time monitoring of the input of any channel (including video, audio, teletext and closed-captioning content) across your entire network can be done. TRACS2 gives complete control over the video playout; start and end times of a clip can be set, and customized download lists can be built.

For multichannel broadcasters, AXON has launched an eight-input encoder, which encodes the SDI inputs to MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 and stores material, via FTP, on third-party servers.
