David Bancroft from Thomson UK receives the IBC President's Award
The IBC honored David Bancroft from Thomson UK with its prestigious President’s Award for his paper, “Universal Content Production — More Bang for the Byte.”
The award is bestowed annually for the best technical paper given at the IBC conference. Several criteria were used in the judging, including clarity of thought, logical development, structure and innovation.
According to David Crawford, IBC Technical Papers Committee chairman, Bancroft’s paper made significant contributions to the convergence of television and film production and explained how film production is falling to the digital revolution.
