Baron Services, Cell Journalist form strategic alliance

Weather technology provider Baron Services and Cell Journalist, a provider of user-generated content solutions to TV stations and other media outlets, have signed an exclusive arrangement to integrate their technology platforms.
The Cell Journalist platform enables any individual with a cell phone, iPhone or Blackberry to upload images and videos of events as they happen. It allows newsrooms and weather centers to expedite the content to air and online use.
As a result of the alliance, Baron’s Omni and FasTrac weather systems, which merge radar and forecast display, live weather graphics and sensor data into one presentation with no rendering, will add actual photos and video from storm fronts.
