BBC Broadcast to pursue language versioning

At IBC2005, BBC Broadcast announced a new effort to grow its translation broadcast market and will now offer language versioning services including subtitles, voice-overs and dubbing.

Thomas Blomberg, former managing director of the United Kingdom’s arm of the global subtitling group, SDI Media, will serve as Head of Languaging Services at BBC Broadcast.

Language versioning is a natural extension of the services the company already offers and will help extend its international market.
