Bitcentral has fully installed and gone live with its Précis end-to-end digital news production solution at nine TV stations in the last nine weeks.

The nine traditional news broadcast stations converting from tape to digital include:

  • WAFF in Huntsville, AL
  • WLBT in Jackson, MS
  • KMOV in St. Louis
  • WPTZ in Plattsburgh, NY
  • KHON in Honolulu
  • KOHD in Bend, OR
  • WINK in Ft. Meyers, FL
  • WTMJ in Milwaukee
  • WISE in Fort Wayne, IN

Bitcentral's Précis is a non-proprietary, turnkey play-to-air digital news management system. The file-based workflow solution is browser based and highly scalable with virtually no limits on the number of users that can access the system.

The system delivers an integrated online archive with inexpensive commodity storage for SD or HD video content, as well as provides the stations with a complete ecosystem, featuring full integration with iNews, ENPS and various editing software, including Canopus Edius, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premier Pro and Apple Final Cut Pro.
