Boxx TV to launch Meridian HD wireless camera system

At IBC2009, Boxx TV will make the European debut of its Meridian HD zero-delay broadcast wireless camera crew system.

The zero-delay solution for midsized to high-end broadcasting provides high-quality transmission while delivering significant ROI. By removing the need for wires, the Meridian system provides camera crews with greater flexibility while transmitting stable, high-quality uncompressed digital video. Meridian is compatible with all cameras and both HD and SD video formats.

Boxx TV also will showcase its Azure live-to-air 3G technology, which uses mobile phone networks to transmit full-frame, high-quality, live camera feeds. The Azure system is a lightweight camera-mounted transmitter that allows quick, efficient live-to-air transmission without the need for a satellite truck.

This 3G technology can bond four carriers together, which delivers upload speeds of up to 4Mb/s.
