Brick House Video unveils Callisto-HD production switcher

Sep 11, 2008 11:39 AM

Brick House Video is introducing an HD version of its Callisto production switcher at IBC2008.

The Callisto-HD follows its SD predecessor in offering hybrid capabilities that are well-suited for satellite and electronic newsgathering (SNG/ENG). The unit incorporates the bandlet technology first seen in the company’s Syntax up/down/crossconverter, which supports analog, SDI-SD and SDI-HD signals in a single unit.

The company also is demonstrating its entire Callisto suite of dual frame store synchronizer video switchers, including the Callisto-R, a rack-mount, eight-input 1RU main frame with separate control panel; the Callisto-P portable six-input unit; and the Callisto-F rack-mount version for automation systems.
