Douglas County Television, DCTV23 in Georgia has acquired a Broadcast Pix Slate production switcher that it’s using to air commissioner board and planning meetings.
DCTV23 also recently televised runoff election results live using the Slate system. DCTV23 technical director T.J. Jaglinski created titles for the two runoff races and combined those with a live feed.
DCTV23 ran the combined titles and live feed through the switcher with its regular programming, shrinking the runoff race portion into the lower right-hand screen with a wraparound title. Writing a script for Slate, Jaglinski alternated from title to title and updated the results.
