BTS delivers traffic updates on the move

Sep 17, 2008 8:00 AM

Broadcast Traffic Systems has added routines to its Enterprise traffic management application that allow users to access information using mobile devices such as Apple’s iPhone, Google’s Android or BlackBerry.

BTS users already have the ability to remotely access their traffic data from anywhere in the world, providing they have access to a computer and broadband. With this addition, station management and other key personnel will be able to monitor real-time information when on the move via their mobile devices with access to a range of key station indicators including airtime availability, schedule information and station revenue.

BTS has also extended its API to allow third-party developers to build tailored interfaces to enable information that is critical to an organization’s operation to be quickly accessed in any location. BTS has itself used the new API itself to develop mobile screen displays in areas such as sales proposals, advertising availability and traffic schedules.
