BUF Technology releases Sport-HD instant replay system

Mar 3, 2009 12:27 PM

BUF Technology has introduced Sport-HD, an HD version of its Sport instant replay system.

The new Sport-HD is virtually identical in operation to the SD version, which means operators familiar with the original Sport will face no learning curve to overcome.

Sport-HD, which makes replays instant and highlights meltdowns quick and easy to produce, relies on JPEG2000 video compression to maintain high-quality images. HD-SDI interface connectors make installation simple, and a separate video reference input assures synchronous outputs and frame accuracy.

Four channels of AES digital audio are supported as well as eight channels of digital audio embedded in the HD-SDI. Sport-HD comes ready to use, complete with a removable 500G hard disk, which holds many hours of content. Available in one- to six-channel versions, Sport-HD requires only 1/2RU of rack space per channel.
