Bulgarian BTC Group awards Harris contract for multiple transmitters

Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC Group) has awarded Harris with a contract to deliver nine Atlas series high-power TV transmitters and four Platinum Z10 FM radio transmitters.
The new transmitters are a critical element of modernizing the broadcaster’s transmission infrastructure and preparing BTC for its upcoming transition to a terrestrial DVB-T network.
The Harris Atlas TV transmitters range from 10kW to 40kW. All of the TV transmitters are digital-ready and can be upgraded in the field. Harris and its local dealer, NewTek, will remove BTC’s old transmitters and install the new ones.
