Chrosziel to highlight new HDV Rig VariLock

The Chrosziel VariLock provides follow focus for autofocus cameras.

During IBC2007, Chrosziel will unveil the HDV Rig VariLock designed to enable precise, repeatable focus settings of cameras with autofocus (AF) and those that exclusively control focus electronically.

VariLock allows the range of rotation to be fully variable for any selectable limit. From a fixed starting position set by using the camera’s AF, the second focus position is set manually and marked by fixing the stopper. A range of 320 degrees covers most applications. In addition, the cameraman can control the focus settings precisely and reproduce them without an assistant.

Both stoppers used to set the limits for the focussing positions are covered with soft rubber for silent operation.
