The collaboration between Chyron and the AP will help news and sports producers improve their multimedia graphics creation and publishing workflow.

Chyron and The Associated Press (AP) have collaborated in online graphics creation and composition to incorporate current sports, news, entertainment and other topical content.

AXISNews, powered by Chyron’s new AXIS online graphics system, offers news and sports broadcasters and Web producers access to the AP’s up-to-the-minute content right at their desktop. Now producers, reporters or anyone with a computer can build topical news graphics that incorporate the full range of images available from the AP, without the need for artists or complex hardware and software.

Future initiatives include joint R&D and cooperative marketing for clients worldwide. The collaboration builds on the strength of an existing relationship between the two organizations and the integration of the AP’s ENPS newsroom products and MOS protocol with Chyron’s product line.

The collaboration between Chyron and AP will assist broadcasters to improve their multimedia graphics creation and publishing workflow. It brings ready-to-air content from the AP’s GraphicsBank directly into a producer-friendly platform.
