Chyron has released Channel Box 2.0, the new version of its HD/SD-switchable channel branding and automated promo system, featuring 2-D/3-D design and playout for branding applications including tickers, crawls, snypes, “bag-and-tag” promos and end credits.
New features include: support for drag-and-drop data binding from Microsoft Excel; rolls and crawls can now be fed via Intelligent Interface; support for two DVEs and two hardware clips in HD; and more dynamic crawls.
Chyron has also released an SDK to allow Web services to communicate with the system. Third-party developers can create their own applications to achieve functionality that is not natively available in Channel Box.
