Chyron unveils EAS HD solution

May 7, 2009 11:25 AM

Chyron at the NAB Show introduced EAS HD, a turnkey high-definition solution for inserting high-quality Emergency Alert System crawls and audio alerts.

Built as an appliance, EAS HD supports all major EAS decoder devices, including TFT, Sage and Digital Alert Systems. Communication between EAS HD and the decoder device is accomplished either through standard serial or TCP connections. EAS HD is fully software upgradable to provide support for future EAS protocols.

Standard audio mixing provides the user with the ability to include EAS alert tones from a decoder with relevant alert crawl data.
