Chyron to demonstrate Web-based graphics at NAB

New Web-based applications like FastWX allow producers to easily build high-quality weather maps complete with Doppler Radar.
Following its acquisition of AXIS Graphics earlier this year, Chyron is launching its previously announced online division at NAB (booth #SL3713). The company will show an array of Web-based services to enable high-resolution maps, real-time weather displays, 3-D charts and graphs, financial quotes and a vast toolset to create topical news graphics.
Chyron is looking to expand its core business beyond the traditional broadcast arena. New markets include nonbroadcast clients such as newspapers, radio stations, mobile phone and digital media producers and anyone producing content for the Internet.
Providing a one-stop seamless platform to create, composite and distribute graphic content over the Internet for traditional and new media markets, Chyron Online enables the production and management of high-quality graphics integrated with content simply through the use of an Internet connection and a Web browser.
Chyron Online will show FastMaps, a broadcast mapping resource; FastQuotes, for business newsroom; FastCharts, which allows reporters, producers and directors the ability to create HD quality bar graphs and pie charts; and FastWX, which allows producers to build the highest quality weather maps complete with Doppler Radar .
