The SYN HD-AFD synchronizer can insert AFD data.
Crystal Vision has introduced SYN HD-AFD, a multifunctional HD/SD synchronizer designed to co-time incoming video signals and insert SMPTE 2016 Active Format Description (AFD) data into the output video for downstream aspect ratio processing.
SYN HD-AFD offers the advantages of a line synchronizer with a short minimum delay of 2µs and quick recovery of input timing. SYN HD-AFD has two operational modes: synchronizer and delay line. With full adjustment of vertical and horizontal timing available, the fixed delay can be set between 2µs and one frame. SYN HD-AFD offers a powerful synchronizing system and is 100mm x 266mm, which fits in Crystal Vision's frames.
