At IBC 2009, Custom Consoles will add the new EditOne to its expanding range of technical furniture, designed to accommodate desktop editing and graphics workstations. The new desk can be installed as a 120cm x 100cm EUR 2 euro-pallet at much lower transportation costs than are required for preassembled furniture.

EditOne has a 2300mm x 1030mm footprint including a profiled horizontal work surface with an optional dual 2RU desktop pod. A 13RU equipment bay supports the left half of the desk that is set forward at a 15-degree angle for easy access. The equipment bay includes space for a tower PC. Fully integrated cable management allows wiring to be routed easily throughout the desk structure as well as enabling easy connection to external equipment and breakout boxes. The equipment bay is well ventilated and provides easy equipment access from front or rear. The EditOne desktop is curved at each corner and protected by PVC edging. Desk height is 720mm.

The desk can be assembled quickly and easily while maintaining the same standards of robust construction, high ergonomic efficiency and attractive styling, which clients naturally expect from Custom Consoles. It can also be supplied factory-assembled.

EditOne is available in a variety of worktop finishes to match specific room decor. The underside is surfaced in black melamine with a silver-anodize leg. EditOne conforms to current European standards for ergonomic and structural integrity and comes with a two-year guarantee. Manufactured at Custom Consoles' UK factory, it can be delivered within typical lead times of seven to 10 working days.

This paper will attempt to shed some light on the inner workings of the real-time data recovery mechanism: Pro-MPEG Code of Practice #3 Forward Error Correction (CoP#3 FEC). Read Now
