Czech Television selects Accom's Abekas Dveous/MX for digital video effects

Accom's Abekas Dveous/MX effects system provides broadcasters with the ability to work in either SD or HD at up to full quad-twin functionality in both formats.
Czech Television has installed an Accom Abekas Dveous/MX digital video-effects system at the heart of its new purpose-built studio in Prague.

Designed to increase the state broadcaster’s capacity for public service television productions, the new studio will contribute to Czech TV’s cultural programming in live production and long-form projects for film and television.

Although operating in standard-definition only, Czech TV chose the universal format Abekas Dveous/MX for the reassurance that its high-definition capability will be available when the network makes the switchover.

The Abekas Dveous/MX effects system provides broadcasters with the ability to work in either SD or HD at up to full quad-twin functionality in both formats. Quad-twin doubles the previous dual-twin capabilities and allows up to eight channels of video or four video/key channel pairs. Quad-twin capabilities for SD can be performed all in one chassis with quad-twin HD requiring two Dveous/MX chassis.

Existing Dveous/MX systems can be quickly upgraded to quad-twin specification.
