da Vinci Systems has unveiled Transformer, a flexible, highly integrated processor board for Resolve that delivers advanced filter algorithms in addition to pan, tilt, zoom, and rotate capabilities in real time at 2K resolution.

Transformer provides high-quality server-based resizing of 2K and 4K images, foregoing the need to resize images at the film scanning stage.

Transformer is a high-speed image conversion and translation engine designed specifically for its Resolve digital mastering suite. With Transformer, Resolve has the ability to apply 1D and 3D LUTs on input and output while supporting ultra-high-quality image resolutions including 4K, and real-time or faster processing at resolutions up to 2K.
