DELTA-sport HD enhances Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2010

Deltacast’s DELTA-sport HD is being used by wTVision to broadcast the virtual graphics for the Orange Africa Cup of Nations 2010 now going on in Angola.

The DELTA-sport HD 6.2 workstation is being used for 3D overlay of virtual graphics showing offside lines, circles, distances and speed. The device provides an advanced 3D rendering engine that allows integration of complex 3D animated objects and scenes in the field of view.

Models can be imported directly from a large set of 3D modeling software. The high-performance camera-tracking function and real-time rendering effects make the 3D objects present and stable.

WTVision is providing a complete on-air graphics service for the host broadcast coverage taking place in Angola through Jan. 31. Participating countries include Mali, Malawi, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Egypt, Nigeria, Mozambique, Benin, Cameroon, Gabon, Zambia, Tunisia and Angola.
