Deltacast will demonstrate DELTA-sport HD, a virtual graphics display system for use on live soccer broadcasts, at NAB2008 (booth SL12107).
Based on a sensor-free system of image processing, it offers advanced real-time chroma keying and virtual advertising capabilities in full HD or SD. It allows full autonomous capture and replay for offside and no slow-mo system or up/downconversion is needed.
The system generates overlays that stick on the soccer field. It includes multichannel storage to avoid the problems of camera switching and animated logos, badges and virtual advertising on the pitch.
The system fits in a 3RU 19in case with all its internal equipment, the control box and the track ball, an XGA monitor, the mouse and the keyboard.
