Digital Broadcast’s MediaFire Pro streamlines multiformat processing
Jun 3, 2009 12:10 PM
Digital Broadcast has introduced its new MediaFire Pro product for automated processing of multiple formats to their video server. MediaFire Pro offers multiformat ingest, storage and playout. Handling formats including DVCPRO, XDCAM, MXV, MPEG, AVI, HD-SDI, QuickTime, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and .MOV, MediaFire Pro stores native formats with no format conversion required. It can then play the material out automatically with MediaFire Pro’s integral MediaFire Automation software. The different formats play seamlessly back to back.
A single MediaFire Pro can play two program streams simultaneously. Using the integrated playout automation, MediaFire Pro can transfer programs while concurrently playing to air. MediaFire Pro redundancies can include RAID storage, power supplies and outputs.
