Doremi Labs rolls out dual-channel playback option for V1-HD video server

Doremi Labs introduced a simultaneous dual-channel playback option for the V1-HD high definition video disk recorder at NAB2006.

The V1-HD's new dual-channel playback provides for locked playback of two HD-SDI video streams. This makes the V1-HD well-suited for 3-D video, super-widescreen and video plus key applications.

Video material can be recorded in one of three ways: simultaneous recording of both video streams; recording two video streams in two separate passes; or by transferring TIFF files via Ethernet to the V1-HD.

In addition, 4k resolution playback is now possible with just two synchronized V1-HD decks. Two V1-HD servers can play back four streams of 2K resolution video to a 4K projector.

The V1-HD also can be used as a playback device for large screen presentations, digital cinema and other high-resolution display applications. Dual-channel playback requires the purchase of the dual-link option. The dual-link option also provides for 4:4:4 color space recording.
