DVC to roll out megacine

DigitalVideo Computing will unveil its new megacine mobile digital field recorder at IBC2006.

The portable field recorder offers small size, comfortable handling and one (HD) to eight (SD) hours of recording time for uncompressed image data.

Nearly any data format from DC-SDI dual link to SD can be stored. The megacine measures 11.5in x 8in x 8in with 60-minute record capacity in uncompressed, lossless HDTV resolution (10-bits RGB 4:4:4) 1080/25 psf or DC resolution (12 bits 4:4:4 XYZ) 1080/24p. Recorded sequences can be played back in the same quality as they were captured, or they can be down-converted into other standards or frame rates.

DVC also will show ScreenDisk CV830, a high-end video workstation for video analysis applications and uncompressed 4k, 2k and HD playback.
