Edgeware to show time-shift server at IBC2008

Edgeware will show its Orbit 2x time-shift TV server at IBC2008, including a new enhanced release of the advanced server management system, Origin 2.0.

To meet the growing demand for valuable interactive TV services and open up new revenue opportunities, IPTV and cable operators are increasingly expanding their service offerings to include time-shifting of live TV content. The Orbit 2x server provides native support for the entire range of on-demand TV services, from simple playout of stored content through real-time switching of live broadcast TV and fully interactive on-demand TV. Supported applications include time-shifting, start over TV, historic EPG, network personal video recording and scheduled recordings.
