Encoda Systems buys Arkemedia Technologies to enhance DAM development

Encoda Systems has acquired Arkemedia Technologies, a UK-based digital asset management (DAM) solution provider.
The move expands Encoda’s position in providing end-to-end broadcast and agency solutions by enabling the company’s customers to leverage the powerful workflow capabilities of Arkemedia’s suite of DAM solutions.
At IBC2003, the companies demonstrated an integrated solution combining Arkemedia’s digital asset management tools with Encoda’s broadcast automation and program management solutions.
A dynamic integration between the Encoda D-Series broadcast automation solution and Arkemedia’s advanced DAM database, content ingest manager and workflow functionality will be introduced at this year’s IBC conference.
Arkemedia Technologies will operate as a separate line of business within the Encoda group of companies. Terms of the transaction were not released.
