Entone integrates Latens conditional-access system

Feb 10, 2009 11:44 AM

Entone’s Amulet IPTV receiver and Hydra IP video gateway have been integrated with the Latens Conditional Access security system. The collaborative effort will let telcos deploy an efficient, enhanced IPTV solution.

Amulet and Hydra are part of Entone’s Connected Home Solution that eliminates the need for multiple set-top boxes or new home wiring to deliver IPTV services. Entone’s solution enables service operators to distribute video signals throughout the home without the costs or installation complexities of putting a set-top box in every room or rewiring the home.

Latens IPTV smartcardless conditional-access system (CAS) is designed specifically to help reduce risk, deployment time and costs as IOC’s and telco operators deploy IPTV services across their network.
