EVS announced Multicam version 9 server management software during IBC2007.
Version 9 offers third-party integration as well as performance improvement for the XT[2] production server. Among the enhancements is the ability to play clips on the XT[2] while transferring from NLE or archive systems. Another is a 50 percent expansion of the XT[2] disk bandwidth.
Not only does version 9 increase bandwidth on the EVS XT[2] SD/HD family of servers, but also it connects to third-party equipment via high-speed Gigabit Ethernet.
