Fast Forward Video to feature SWiFT HD workflow

At the IBC2009 Show, Fast Forward Video (FFV) will feature its Superior Workflow Technology (SWiFT) concept of HD workflow and demonstrate how its DVR technologies can provide an integrated, cost-effective solution for simplifying broadcast workflows.

The company will demonstrate the SWiFT concept in the acquisition, file transfer, editing and playback phases of broadcast workflows. The demo will include: The FFV Elite HD camera-mounted J2K DVR and player for acquisition;

The Elite HD, which records video on commercially available, hot-swappable 2.5in SATA drives for seamless file transfer at a low cost per gigabyte; FFV’s J2K codec to enable direct importing of JPEG2000.mov files into widely used NLEs; and FFV’s Omega HD DVR for recording and playback of SD and HD video with J2K compression and up to 100Mb/s.
