FCIT’s ExiVision EXV extends signals 300m

Sep 13, 2007 3:27 PM

FCIT is shipping its new ExiVision EXV product that extends audio and video signals to 300m or more through Cat 5, Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable. The ExiVision EXV has on-board adjustment for cable length (gain) and color skew for optimum video quality.

Straightforward point-to-point solutions can be mixed and matched with local and remote splitters and repeaters to optimize available premise cable. The video input signal can be VGA, RGB or a similar format, and the audio inputs can be analog or digital.

The ExiVision EXV supports video resolutions up to 1600 x 1280. An ExiVision EXV transmitter attaches directly to the computer VGA port, or to RGB or composite outputs of any video generation hardware, such as DVD players or handheld devices. The receiver is small enough to attach to the back of any standard monitor and the chassis is designed with built-in universal mounting brackets.
