FFV’s flagship Omega Deck digital video recorder is now available with HD. The new Omega HD can record either SD or HD video with JPEG2000 compression up to 300Mb/s. The recorder allows users to simultaneously record, play and store multiple SD and HD video files, and create video clips, loops and playlists using the front panel for many applications, including graphics and key fill, spot insertion and instant replay.
The Omega HD offers an LCD screen for viewing video content, uses standard removable SATA drives and can upscale recordings from FFV’s Xi deck or NDT 200 to HD. The recorder's file formats are compatible with Grass Valley products and offers accurate frame control via RS-422 or Ethernet using standard control protocols.
