Visual effects software developer The Foundry has released the latest version of its Nuke compositing application.
Nuke 5 features a new user interface, the addition of Python for scripting, support for a stereoscopic workflow, the ability to read, process and write more than 1000 channels per stream and support for EXR images.
The Foundry has reworked Nuke’s user interface to improve the user experience and make the program more approachable for a broader range of artists. In addition to a flexible panes and panels system, Nuke 5 features per-node mask inputs and expanded LUT support for file I/O color-space conversion.
