Globalstor Data introduces Extremestor-DI REDe workstation

OEM RAID, SAN and video server integrator Globalstor Data has unveiled the EXtremeStor-DI REDe solution, a new workstation based on Intel’s Nehalem architecture. Well suited for RED digital cinema-based CPU-intensive content and storage applications, the workstation is now shipping.
The ExtremeStor-DI REDe relies on Intel’s Nehalem processor, which dynamically manages cores, threads, cache, interfaces and power to deliver energy efficiency and high performance on demand.
The new workstation works with feature-rich, high-performance graphics, capture and playback cards as well as the open-platform color-grading technologies. Scalable from 2.5TBs to 24TBs of internal storage, it integrates the Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 OS in a tower package.
