Grass Valley unveils new features for MediaFUSE

At IBC2009, Grass Valley unveiled new features for its MediaFUSE automated content repurposing platform that are designed to repurposing video and textual content for the Internet and mobile broadcasting faster and more efficiently.

MediaFUSE is a hardware and software option for Grass Valley’s Ignite integrated production system. By making use of a common toolset, broadcasters of can automate both the live production and the multidistribution of content in near-instant time frames.

One new feature is enhanced image processing that assists in creating slide shows, a series of stills images from videos, that contain textual descriptions and multiple banner ad opportunities per slide.

Another is a rich textual story editor that can be used in pre- or post-production by non-technical users to add HTML-coded textual stories to accompany posted video stories.
