At IBC Harmonic introduced the MediaPrism convergence suite for multiscreen video delivery to the TV, PC, iPhone and other mobile devices.

Deployed by Tier 1 service providers for new mobile and Internet video service trials, MediaPrism is a comprehensive solution for converged video delivery, encompassing live and offline content ingest, transformation, delivery and workflow management.

The MediaPrism convergence suite is designed to support a variety of emerging mobile and Internet delivery formats, including Apple adaptive HTTP Live Streaming, Adobe Flash, and Microsoft Silverlight, in addition to legacy mobile video formats, existing broadcast TV and video-on-demand services.

Harmonic’s CLEARcut offline and LIVEcut real-time content preparation solutions make it possible for service providers to capture and prepare assets for multiscreen viewing. CLEARcut prepares assets from tape or DVD sources while LIVEcut is a highly scalable solution for live ingest and content export that offers a unique and newly expanded set of capabilities.
