Harris rolls out NEXIO AMP 2.0

Harris introduced major enhancements to its NEXIO family of servers and storage solutions, including software developments for the NEXIO AMP and increased storage and scalability for the NEXIO SAN, at IBC2008.

NEXIO AMP 2.0 features increased processing power, greater I/O density and supports four HD video I/O channels. Being 3Gb/s-ready, the server is capable of ingesting and playing out 1080p signals.

The raw processing power of NEXIO AMP 2.0 provides additional benefits, including the hosting of integrated, software-enabled media applications right on the server. Media applications include:

• NEXIO AMP Logo, an on-air branding system, allowing each playout channel on NEXIO AMP to feature unique graphic elements and animated sequences
