Harris to unveil 3Gb/s DA for 6800+ core processor

At the NAB Show in Las Vegas April 20-23, Harris will introduce new 3Gb/s, HD, SD and ASI fiber distribution amplifiers in several configurations for its 6800+ modular core processing platform.

The new line of DAs enables fiber and coaxial distribution as well as built-in automatic changeover upon primary signal failover.

Harris 3Gb/s-capable fiber DAs provide broadcasters with a combination of configurations, including single-channel transceiver, dual-channel fiber transmitter, dual-channel fiber receiver and dual-channel fiber receiver with dual-fiber transmitters per channel. All of these DAs offer the balance of inputs and outputs in standard coax.

Key features include support for 3Gb/s, HD, SD and ASI, reclocking, low power consumption, ASI compatibility on all outputs and broadcast-quality performance that exceeds SMPTE specifications.
