HBO Asia improves branding with Orad’s 3DPlay

Orad will provide five channels of HBO Asia with its 3DPlay channel branding solution. The network is available in 22 countries throughout Asia and has closed-captioned subtitling in several local languages.

Looking for a 3-D on-screen appearance, HBO Asia chose the branding system because it provides a template- and database-oriented architecture to allow fast and seamless programming changes.

HBO Asia has already begun to implement nine 3DPlay systems and will implement 3DPlay for all of its channels across Asia Pacific over the next year. HBO Asia executives said they like the 3Dplay system’s ability to run multiple compressed video clips in their native resolution, to maintain a high image quality.
