Hall Research Technologies (HRT) unveiled a wall-plate version of its Mini-Cat video and power over UTP (Cat5/5e/6) cable transmitter and receiver units.
The model UV1-S-WP actively transmits video plus phantom power over UTP (Cat5/5e/6) cable up to 500ft to a corresponding receiver (model UV1-R-WP). The units are constructed as single gang wall plates with a shallow depth so they can mount into any size junction box. The UV1-S-WP Mini-Cat supports PC resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 or HDTV resolutions of 1080p.
The unit includes a 9V DC universal power supply that supplies power to both ends via the UTP cable. The UV1-R-WP receiver features an active three-pole cable length compensation filter that equalizes the losses in long cable runs up to 500ft.
