IMP Electronics to launch direct sunlight-viewable LCD monitors

Currently offering 6.4-, 10.4- and 15-inch panels, Hummingbird 18- and 21-inch versions are planned for launch later in 2003.

IMP Electronics will unveil its Hummingbird range of sunlight viewable LCD monitors at IBC2003.

Unlike high brightness monitors currently on the market, Hummingbird retains high brightness, color and contrast characteristics even when used in direct sunlight.

Basic LCD panels are modified to precise specifications resulting in enhanced back-lighting management and the addition of an advanced optical lens that completely eliminates glare and reflection from the surface of the monitor.
