IPV unveils suite of Windows Media solutions

At NAB2005, IPV showed its full line of products, including the nSpectre Mercury digital encoder.

At NAB2005, IPV unveiled a host of its latest professional media products built on VC1 (WM9/10) compression technologies that enable integration of VC1 (WM) into professional media applications.

The company showed the full range of nSpectre and SVPCI cards, which include Pioneer, Mariner and Voyager.

Pioneer provides Windows Media encoding performance at a competitive price. Mariner allows dual format encoding of VC1 (WM) and MPEG-2, and Voyager can be configured to decode compressed streams back to SDI.

Each card eliminates the need to purchase separate time code capture cards because they support either D-VITC embedded in the SDI channel, or a separate LTC external source, such as VTR or station clock. Real-time VC1 (WM) and MPEG performance complete with simultaneous SMPTE time code and metadata processing, ensures professional-quality performance.
