JDSU adds triple-play, copper test features to T-BERD/MTS-4000

JDSU has added advanced test and maintenance functionality for copper-based networks and triple-play services to its T-BERD/MTS-4000 multiple services test platform.

Combined with its fiber network test features, the T-BERD/MTS-4000 provides physical layer-to-application layer testing.

The new features include the ability to test higher bit-rate triple-play services up to 30MHz (VDSL); triple-play service testing, including IPTV and VoIP measurements from DSL access interfaces or a standard Ethernet port; VDSL and ADSL testing features using an Infineon Technologies chipset; and a licensed option for Dr. DSL diagnostic solutions from Aware.

The T-BERD/MTS-4000 also offers a full optical test solution set combining the functionality of an OTDR, PON meter, video inspection scope, laser source/power meter, and VFL into one platform.
