TV Korea has built a new studio in Los Angeles with Vector3’s VECTORBOX integrated playout solutions at the heart of the operation.
TV Korea’s lineup includes a combination of popular shows produced in Korea with a variety of live news and thematic programs produced in the Los Angeles studio. The tapeless production and playout infrastructure consists of Apple Final Cut Pro for editing, FOR-A and Harris equipment for multiviewing and routing of media standard IT storage, and Vector managing the media ingest, content and graphics playout and automation for both continuity and live broadcasts.
TV Korea’s sister operation in New York is due to launch later in 2009. The file-based workflow provides a flexible infrastructure for supporting the current staff of more than 80 people and can scale as TV Korea expands its programming options. In addition to delivering full ingest and playout capabilities, the Vector system allows users to update graphics on the fly.
