L-3 Communications Electron Devices will introduce the Plug-In IOT 70, a plug-in style IOT that can be used in new or existing transmitter installations.
Designed as a replacement for build-up style IOTs, the Plug-In IOT 70 provides the convenience of a drop-in tube without the expense of a new trolley.
A free conversion kit can be installed in minutes, and the existing output cavity is ready for the L-3 plug-in. L-3 can also supply new input-cavity assemblies that are shorter, lighter and more efficient than the older units. The combination of L-3’s plug-in style IOT and the new input cavity allows the user to replace the IOT without removing the trolley from the transmitter.
