Litepanels unveils 1 x 1 Bi-Focus LED light

Litepanels has introduced the 1 x 1 Bi-Focus, an LED light fixture capable of variable spot and flood focusing.

An alternative to energy-inefficient Fresnel lights, the thin, portable 1 x 1 Bi-Focus offers a cool-to-the-touch, low-energy draw solution that provides the flexibility to instantly vary the width of the light beam.

The 1 x 1 Bi-Focus features two independent sets of daylight color-balanced (5600 degrees Kelvin) LED bulbs set in the 1ft by 1ft square of the fixture. One set of LEDs is composed of flood bulbs, the other of spot bulbs.

By crossfading between the two sets of LEDs, the user can achieve variable flood or spot output. Because the 1 x 1 Bi-Focus uses 1152 LED bulbs (twice the number of a standard 1 x 1), the fixture projects the same total light output whether the operator selects spot, flood or any combination of the two.
