M-Audio has introduced the DMP3 mic preamplifier, designed to provide a premium front end for today’s high-resolution digital recording systems. The updated DMP3 preamp features extended frequency response of 20Hz-80kHz, plus 67dB of gain and wide dynamic range to capture musical nuance. This two-channel device is suitable for both performance and production.
The DMP3 has both XLR mic inputs and 1/4in instrument inputs with balanced TRS outputs for hum-free performance. Harmonic distortion is just .0005 percent at 20Hz-20kHz (THD+N), and the unit includes high- and low-range gain controls and 48V phantom power.
