Matrox designed the MXO2 to streamline editing workflows that rely on Apple Final Cut Studio and Adobe Production Premium running on MacBook Pros and Mac Pros.

The Matrox Video Products Group has announced the Matrox MXO2 broadcast-quality input/output, monitoring and up/down/crossconverter.

Designed to streamline editing workflows with Apple Final Cut Studio and Adobe Production Premium on MacBook Pros and Mac Pros, Matrox MXO2 lets users benefit from file-based workflows with native support for XDCAM, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX and P2. Additionally, the Matrox MXO2 supports multiple codecs.

The Matrox MXO2 gives broadcasters a lightweight, portable means to upload video from laptops in the field. Features include:

  • a portable design that runs off a field battery or its AC adapter
  • HD/SD SDI, HD/SD analog component, Y/C and composite inputs and outputs
  • genlock
  • HDMI input, output and monitoring with calibration controls including blue-only
  • 10-bit real-time hardware up/down/crossconversion
