At IBC2007, Mayah Communications will introduce the IO [io] 8000/8001, an MPEG-4 H.264/AVC SD encoder and decoder with audio and video interfaces and coding capabilities.
The new IO [io] 8000/8001 supports a number of applications, including mobile TV (DVB-H/DMB), STL and SNG.
For easy integration in any professional environment, the IO [io] is equipped with an SDI interface, as well as a component, S-video and CVBS (composite) input and output.
In addition to SDI embedded audio, the device offers several audio interfaces including: Toslink connector for switchblade ADAT/SPDIF, four AES/EBU and eight balanced analog in/outs. It also has four conventional XLRs for analog audio input and output. Synchronization can be achieved either on the SDI interface or on the genlock I/O. In addition to an RS-232 port for wired remote control or ancillary data, there is an optional RS-485 port for some future applications.
