Metrovision Production Group in New York City has selected the latest Harris 3Gb/s-ready broadcast technology, including the X50 synchronizer and converter and the Videotek Compact Monitor Series, for a new HD production truck being built in partnership with the Yankees Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network.

Scheduled to hit the road in February 2010, the 40ft Metrovision HD-2 truck will be used to produce HD programming for all of YES Network’s college football and basketball and Yankees’ pre- and post-game shows, as well as other events such as the NCAA Basketball Tournament and Super Bowl XLIV.

Powering the new truck will be a fully interoperable Harris HD infrastructure, including: 16 X50 single-channel 1RU processors to deliver integrated color correction and optional 3Gb/s and fiber-optic I/O; Videotek Compact Monitor Series, which provides testing of signal integrity; a 15RU Platinum video router with integrated CENTRIO multiviewer; and a 9RU Platinum audio router with TDM architecture.
